Vita

He was born in Sicily, in Mazara del Vallo, where he lives and works till today; since the beginning of his artwork, many years ago, he was faszinated from modern and contemporary art and he also had a good knowledge about it. Therefore one day he decided to creat a new experience and started his most famous  "Artist Smoke project". The basic idea he want to transmit by this: smoke is only smoke - all things vanish...

Charakteristik

In practice the artist took cigarettes`packets, lighters, matches, cigarettes papers and stubs, arranged it in his special artist view and sticks it on painting plates. Later on he found more and more also other real things to need it in a similar way for an artist-statement he want to transmit. So his artworks becomes always very handsome and clear messages.

Vincenzo Armato participated in a lot of one man and group shows, like in Venezia, Padova, Teano, Cortona, Ferrara (Castello degli Estensi), Monzon (Spagna), Portogallo, roma, Agrigento, Fiere d`Arte die Reggio, Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze e Arte Fiera di Stoccarda Sindelfingen 2008.
